About Us

An Irish-owned manufacturer helping you build better homes, faster

At Altherm, our focus has always been on the production of high quality ICF (Insulated Concrete Formwork) products that will enable you, our customer to both stay compliant and deliver better building programmes.

Since 2017, our purpose-built facility in Santry, Dublin has been producing ICF to the highest standards. Deploying a best in-class system in tandem with optimised production, we have a proven capacity for instant supply to small and large scale housing and apartment developments.

With an industry focus on compliance and optimizing busy construction programmes, our team at Altherm has developed and fine-tuned a building methodology designed to ensure compliance and maximize efficiency.

As a construction method developed in Germany in the 1950s, building homes using ICF (insulated concrete forms) as an alternative to bricks or blocks offers many benefits.

First-Class Manufacturing

By using the latest technology, best-in-class manufacturing facilities, and a team of proven specialists in their field, we’re bringing a new level of quality to the Irish construction market.

Today’s construction sector demands high standards and we work hard to meet the new environmental requirements of NZEB. Robust regulatory standards are designed to deliver quality work and we are proud to help our customers meet, and indeed exceed industry standards like NZEB and BER ratings of A2 or better.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF ICF

Originating in Germany in the 1950s, ICF homes have been built in Ireland since the 1970s. And with energy-efficiency now an essential requirement for house-buyers, it will only continue to grow in popularity.

HOW IT WORKS

Altherm ICF products are premade forms that fit together as large interlocking blocks. We use two EPS panels spaced apart by high strength polypropylene webs, that form an insulated permanent shuttering into which concrete is poured.
